We are currently recruiting for a Data Architect to be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions that support our business objectives.

The Ideal candidate:

The successful candidate will have proven experience as a Data Solutions Architect or similar, with demonstrable experience of designing and implementing data solutions. You will be analytical, with strong problem-solving and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to work effectively independently, and as part of a team, is vital to the success of this role.

Some of your key responsibilities would be:

• Design and implement data solutions that meet the needs of our stakeholders.
• Ensure that our data solutions are scalable, secure, and reliable.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the wider Architecture team.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in data architecture, and proactively identify opportunities to improve our data solutions.
• Develop and maintain ontologies and domain designs for our data solutions.
• Work with graph databases such as AWS Neptune or Neo4J to model complex data relationships.
• Devise data federation using RBAC/ABAC with solutions such as Immuta to ensure compliance.
• Devise data strategy for retention policies and regional variances in regulations and laws.
• Devise meta-data management strategy through solutions such as Atlan/Alation/DataHub project
• Develop and implement real-time and batch data processing solutions and demonstrate experience with kappa and lambda patterns.

Key skills and experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience,
• Demonstrable experience working as a Data Solutions Architect or a similar role, with experience designing and implementing data solutions,
• Knowledge, experience, and awareness of data mesh and data lake house paradigms,
• Experience with graph databases such as AWS Neptune or Neo4J,
• Experience with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, Trino/Presto,
• Demonstrable interest in real-time Machine Learning (ML) deployments through tools such as tecton.ai,
• Demonstrable experience in real-time, batch, kappa, and lambda patterns,
• Experience with domain design and ontologies,
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
