Customer Support Officer

We are recruiting for a Customer Support Officer to join our Customer Satisfaction Centre and work as part of a team of 20 colleagues, handling customer requests while supporting your engineering colleagues with efficient diary management. This is a part time, permanent role, please see further details around hours and location below:
- Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 15:00-19:00
- Salary: £11, 639
What will you be doing in this role?
As a Customer Support Officer you will be liaising with our all-important customers, providing an excellent service every time. You will be speaking to local authorities and councils about queries such as reporting faulty equipment, chasing existing work, requesting new installations and general enquiries, as well as efficiently and effectively planning the engineer resource and workload.

Your key day-to-day responsibilities could include…
- Speaking to local authorities and councils about queries such as reporting faulty equipment, chasing existing work, requesting new installations and general enquiries,
- Efficiently and effectively planning the engineer resource and workload,
- Coordinating engineer’s schedules including leave requests, daily and on-call working rota, based on availability,
- Utilising an appointment booking system to manage the attendance of engineers and ensuring all requests are accurately logged on an in-house system,
- Liaising with third parties, where sub contract labour is used, for specialist or remote work,
- Creating maintenance visit schedules, booking appointments and producing quotations for chargeable work. Seeing the quotations through to completion by order numbers and invoicing.
The ideal candidate:
- An excellent telephone manner and naturally friendly and empathetic style,
- A strong, clear and confident communicator,
- Flexible approach to work, able to identify priorities and adjust accordingly,
- Ability to organise and plan effectively,
- A keen eye for detail,
- Competent IT user, proficient in the use of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel),
- Previous experience in customer relations roles would he desirable.
