Junior Finance Analyst

We are recruiting a Junior Finance Analyst on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract to join our UK&I Finance Team based out of our Whitley (DN14 0HR) location. Hybrid working is available (3 days onsite).
What will you be doing in this role?
As our Junior Finance Analyst, you will support a major project reviewing the UK business’s revenue streams, providing analytical and reporting support to help strengthen financial insight and decision making.
The Ideal candidate:
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain some experience within a finance team in a fast-paced commercial business. We are looking for someone who has a high attention to detail, good communication and analytical skills. You will be proactive, diligent individual, eager to learn and take on new tasks and help us successfully deliver on a project to strength our financial insight and decision making.
Key skills and experience:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or similar or equivalent experience.
Strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in developing a finance career.
High attention to detail with a diligent and organised working style.
Comfortable working with large data sets; confident using Excel (advanced functions desirable).
Inquisitive mindset - willing to ask questions, challenge inputs, and suggest improvements.
Ability to present numerical findings clearly and confidently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines.
Positive, proactive approach and willingness to learn.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Support the end-to-end review of UK revenue streams, including data collection, analysis, and insight generation.
Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within large and complex data sets.
Work with Finance and Commercial teams to validate findings and develop recommendations.
Assist in analysing business performance, including revenue, margins, and cost drivers.
Produce clear, accurate summaries and insight to support decision making.
Prepare and maintain regular reports, dashboards, and KPI summaries used by senior stakeholders.
Ensure all outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with business requirements
Support improvements to data quality, reporting processes, and automation opportunities.
Work collaboratively with the Finance team to streamline workflows and strengthen reporting consistency.
Develop practical skills in analysis, Excel, reporting tools, and commercial finance.
Demonstrate curiosity, accountability, and a proactive approach to learning.
